Privacy policy for the app Umbra

In short

Umbra does its calculations on your device. Your approximate location is never transmitted. There is no user account, no advertising and no analytics or tracking components. The internet is used only for Google Play purchases and the Google Play rating dialog.

2. Location

If you allow it, the app uses your approximate location (permission ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION) to calculate the sky above you. The location is used only on your device and is never transmitted. Without permission, the app estimates your position from the device time zone.

3. Live wallpaper and widget

The live wallpaper and the moon widget draw the sky on your device from the settings you chose in the app. They do not record, store or transmit anything.

4. Sensors and camera

The app does not use the camera, the microphone or motion sensors.

5. Internet

The internet connection is used only for (a) buying and verifying a purchase or subscription through Google Play and (b) the Google Play in-app rating dialog. Google processes payment data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy: Google privacy policy. The developer receives no payment data.

6. Notifications

The app shows a notification only as a reminder 24 hours before the end of a trial period. It is scheduled locally on your device and involves no server.

7. Advertising and analytics

The app contains no advertising, no advertising IDs, no analytics or tracking SDKs and no account.

8. Sharing with third parties

Your data is not passed on to third parties.

9. Children

The app does not knowingly collect data from children and is not directed at them.

10. Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

11. Changes

If the functions of the app change, this policy will be updated. The version published here applies.

12. Data sources and licences

The sky data in Umbra comes from the following sources. None of it is paid for or transmitted anywhere; all data is bundled in the app.

Datenschutzerklärung für die App Umbra

Kurzfassung

Umbra rechnet auf deinem Gerät. Dein ungefährer Standort wird nie übertragen. Es gibt kein Benutzerkonto, keine Werbung und keine Analyse- oder Tracking-Bausteine. Das Internet wird nur für Käufe über Google Play und den Bewertungsdialog von Google Play genutzt.

2. Standort

Wenn du es erlaubst, nutzt die App deinen ungefähren Standort (Berechtigung ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION), um den Himmel über dir zu berechnen. Der Standort wird nur auf deinem Gerät verwendet und nie übertragen. Ohne Freigabe schätzt die App deine Position aus der Zeitzone des Geräts.

3. Live-Hintergrund und Widget

Der Live-Hintergrund und das Mond-Widget zeichnen den Himmel auf deinem Gerät nach den Einstellungen, die du in der App gewählt hast. Sie zeichnen nichts auf, speichern nichts und übertragen nichts.

4. Sensoren und Kamera

Die App nutzt weder Kamera noch Mikrofon noch Bewegungssensoren.

5. Internet

Die Internetverbindung wird nur genutzt für (a) den Kauf und die Prüfung eines Kaufs oder Abos über Google Play und (b) den In-App-Bewertungsdialog von Google Play. Zahlungsdaten verarbeitet Google als eigenständiger Verantwortlicher nach der eigenen Datenschutzerklärung: Datenschutzerklärung von Google. Der Entwickler erhält keine Zahlungsdaten.

6. Benachrichtigungen

Die App zeigt eine Benachrichtigung nur als Erinnerung 24 Stunden vor Ende einer Probezeit. Sie wird lokal auf deinem Gerät geplant, ein Server ist nicht beteiligt.

7. Werbung und Analyse

Die App enthält keine Werbung, keine Werbe-IDs, keine Analyse- oder Tracking-SDKs und kein Benutzerkonto.

8. Weitergabe an Dritte

Deine Daten werden nicht an Dritte weitergegeben.

9. Kinder

Die App erhebt nicht wissentlich Daten von Kindern und richtet sich nicht gezielt an sie.

10. Deine Rechte

Dir stehen nach der Datenschutz-Grundverordnung Rechte auf Auskunft, Berichtigung, Löschung, Einschränkung der Verarbeitung, Datenübertragbarkeit und Widerspruch zu, sowie ein Beschwerderecht bei einer Aufsichtsbehörde.

11. Änderungen dieser Erklärung

Ändert sich der Funktionsumfang der App, wird diese Erklärung angepasst. Maßgeblich ist die hier veröffentlichte Fassung.

Die Himmelsdaten in Umbra stammen aus den folgenden Quellen. Nichts davon ist kostenpflichtig oder wird irgendwohin übertragen; alle Daten sind in der App enthalten.
