Solnord does all its calculations on your device. Your location never leaves your phone. There is no user account, no advertising and no analytics or tracking components. The internet is used only for Google Play purchases and the Google Play rating dialog.

If you allow it, the app uses your location (permissions ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION) while it is open, to correct the compass for magnetic declination (true north), to show your coordinates and altitude, to calculate the position of the sun and moon and to show the way back to places you saved. The location and your saved places are stored only on your device and are never transmitted. Without permission, the compass still works, showing magnetic north.
The app reads the magnetic field sensor, the accelerometer and the rotation sensor of your phone to show the direction and the bubble level. These readings are processed instantly on the device and are not stored or transmitted. The app does not use the camera or the microphone.
The internet connection is used only for (a) buying and verifying a subscription through Google Play and (b) the Google Play in-app rating dialog. Google processes payment data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy: Google privacy policy. The developer receives no payment data.
The app shows a notification only as a reminder one day before the end of a free trial. It is scheduled locally on your device and involves no server. Vibration is used only for the optional off-course alert and the light tick at the cardinal directions.
The app contains no advertising, no advertising IDs, no analytics or tracking SDKs and no account.
Your data is not passed on to third parties.
The app does not knowingly collect data from children and is not directed at them.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. As no data reaches the developer, uninstalling the app deletes everything it stored.
If the functions of the app change, this policy will be updated. The version published here applies.
The compass is a navigation aid. In terrain where your safety depends on it, carry a map and a magnetic compass as well.

Wenn du es erlaubst, nutzt die App deinen Standort (Berechtigungen ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION), solange sie geöffnet ist: für die Missweisung (geografisch Nord), für Koordinaten und Höhe, für den Stand von Sonne und Mond und für den Weg zurück zu gespeicherten Orten. Standort und gespeicherte Orte liegen nur auf deinem Gerät und werden nie übertragen. Ohne Freigabe funktioniert der Kompass weiter und zeigt magnetisch Nord.
Die App liest Magnetfeld-, Beschleunigungs- und Drehsensor des Handys, um Richtung und Wasserwaage anzuzeigen. Die Messwerte werden sofort auf dem Gerät verarbeitet und weder gespeichert noch übertragen. Kamera und Mikrofon nutzt die App nicht.
Die Internetverbindung wird nur genutzt für (a) den Kauf und die Prüfung eines Abos über Google Play und (b) den In-App-Bewertungsdialog von Google Play. Zahlungsdaten verarbeitet Google als eigenständiger Verantwortlicher nach der eigenen Datenschutzerklärung: Datenschutzerklärung von Google. Der Entwickler erhält keine Zahlungsdaten.
Die App zeigt eine Benachrichtigung nur als Erinnerung einen Tag vor Ende einer kostenlosen Testphase. Sie wird lokal auf deinem Gerät geplant, ein Server ist nicht beteiligt. Vibration dient nur dem optionalen Kursalarm und dem leichten Klick an den Haupthimmelsrichtungen.
Die App enthält keine Werbung, keine Werbe-IDs, keine Analyse- oder Tracking-SDKs und kein Benutzerkonto.
Deine Daten werden nicht an Dritte weitergegeben.
Die App erhebt nicht wissentlich Daten von Kindern und richtet sich nicht gezielt an sie.
Dir stehen nach der Datenschutz-Grundverordnung Rechte auf Auskunft, Berichtigung, Löschung, Einschränkung der Verarbeitung, Datenübertragbarkeit und Widerspruch zu, sowie ein Beschwerderecht bei einer Aufsichtsbehörde. Da keine Daten beim Entwickler ankommen, löscht das Deinstallieren der App alles, was sie gespeichert hat.
Ändert sich der Funktionsumfang der App, wird diese Erklärung angepasst. Maßgeblich ist die hier veröffentlichte Fassung.
