Nightmumble listens to your night through the microphone and keeps short sound clips (talking, snoring, loud noises) only on your device. Recordings are never uploaded. There is no user account, no advertising and no analytics or tracking components. The internet is used only for Google Play purchases.

The app uses the microphone (permissions RECORD_AUDIO and FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MICROPHONE) only while you have started a night. During that time a permanent notification is shown and you can end the night at any moment. The audio is analysed on your device as it comes in; only moments that rise clearly above the steady background noise of the room are saved as short clips. Everything else is discarded immediately and never stored. Clips, the night timeline, statistics and the influences you mark (for example “alcohol” or “slept on back”) are stored exclusively in the private app storage on your device and are excluded from cloud backups. They are never uploaded to a server.
Please note: other people in the room may be recorded too. Use the app only where everyone who sleeps there agrees.
Clips leave the app only if you share them yourself (as a video or audio file) through the Android share menu. In that case the privacy policy of the app you share to applies. The developer receives nothing.
You can delete single clips or whole nights in the app at any time. In the free version, the audio of nights older than your last seven is deleted automatically (starred clips are kept). All app data is removed by clearing the app data in the Android settings or by uninstalling the app.
The internet connection is used only for buying and verifying a subscription (monthly or yearly, with a trial period) through Google Play. Google processes payment data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy: Google privacy policy. The developer receives no payment data.
The app shows a notification while a night is being recorded and, if you start a trial, a reminder 24 hours before it ends. Both are created locally on your device; no server is involved.
The app contains no advertising, no advertising IDs, no analytics, tracking or crash-reporting SDKs and no account.
Nightmumble is not a medical device and does not diagnose sleep apnea or any other condition. Sleep sounds and statistics stay on your device and are not shared with anyone.
Your data is not passed on to third parties.
The app does not knowingly collect data from children and is not directed at them.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
If the functions of the app change, this policy will be updated. The version published here applies.

Die App nutzt das Mikrofon (Berechtigungen RECORD_AUDIO und FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MICROPHONE) nur, solange du eine Nacht gestartet hast. In dieser Zeit ist eine dauerhafte Benachrichtigung sichtbar, und du kannst die Nacht jederzeit beenden. Der Ton wird direkt auf dem Gerät ausgewertet; gespeichert werden nur Momente, die sich deutlich über das gleichmäßige Grundrauschen des Raums heben, als kurze Clips. Alles andere wird sofort verworfen und nie gespeichert. Clips, Zeitleiste, Statistik und die von dir markierten Einflüsse (z. B. „Alkohol“ oder „auf dem Rücken geschlafen“) liegen ausschließlich im privaten App-Speicher auf deinem Gerät und sind von Cloud-Backups ausgenommen. Sie werden nie auf einen Server hochgeladen.
Bitte beachte: Auch andere Personen im Raum können aufgenommen werden. Nutze die App nur, wenn alle, die dort schlafen, einverstanden sind.
Clips verlassen die App nur, wenn du sie selbst (als Video oder Audiodatei) über das Android-Teilen-Menü teilst. Dann gilt die Datenschutzerklärung der Ziel-App. Der Entwickler erhält nichts.
Einzelne Clips oder ganze Nächte kannst du jederzeit in der App löschen. In der Gratis-Version wird der Ton von Nächten, die älter als deine letzten sieben sind, automatisch gelöscht (markierte Clips bleiben). Alle App-Daten entfernst du, indem du in den Android-Einstellungen die App-Daten löschst oder die App deinstallierst.
Die Internetverbindung wird nur genutzt für den Kauf und die Prüfung eines Abos (monatlich oder jährlich, mit Probezeit) über Google Play. Zahlungsdaten verarbeitet Google als eigenständiger Verantwortlicher nach der eigenen Datenschutzerklärung: Datenschutzerklärung von Google. Der Entwickler erhält keine Zahlungsdaten.
Die App zeigt eine Benachrichtigung, solange eine Nacht aufgenommen wird, und – wenn du eine Probezeit startest – eine Erinnerung 24 Stunden vor deren Ende. Beides entsteht lokal auf deinem Gerät, ein Server ist nicht beteiligt.
Die App enthält keine Werbung, keine Werbe-IDs, keine Analyse-, Tracking- oder Absturzberichts-SDKs und kein Benutzerkonto.
Nightmumble ist kein Medizinprodukt und stellt keine Diagnose, etwa von Schlafapnoe. Schlafgeräusche und Statistiken bleiben auf deinem Gerät und werden mit niemandem geteilt.
Deine Daten werden nicht an Dritte weitergegeben.
Die App erhebt nicht wissentlich Daten von Kindern und richtet sich nicht gezielt an sie.
Dir stehen nach der Datenschutz-Grundverordnung Rechte auf Auskunft, Berichtigung, Löschung, Einschränkung der Verarbeitung, Datenübertragbarkeit und Widerspruch zu, sowie ein Beschwerderecht bei einer Aufsichtsbehörde.
Ändert sich der Funktionsumfang der App, wird diese Erklärung angepasst. Maßgeblich ist die hier veröffentlichte Fassung.
