Privacy policy for the app Flashwell

Last updated: 18 October 2026 · Deutsche Fassung weiter unten

In short

Flashwell is a Y2K digicam camera. It shows a live camera preview with a retro look, and you take photos and videos with it. Photos and videos are processed only on your device and saved to your device's gallery. There is no user account, no advertising and no analytics or tracking components, and the developer runs no server that receives your pictures. The app itself does not send photos anywhere; the internet is used only for Google Play purchases and for the Google Play rating dialog if Google shows it.

2. Camera

The app asks for the camera permission to show the live preview and to take photos and videos. The camera image is processed in real time on your device to apply the look (noise, glow, colour cast, vignette, flash look, date stamp). It is not transmitted, and the developer receives no camera data. You can use the front or the rear camera. The front screen flash simply lights the display.

3. Photos and videos you save

Photos you take are saved to the gallery of your device in the folder Pictures/Flashwell; videos are saved in Movies/Flashwell. Once saved, they are normal files in your gallery and are handled by Android and by the apps you use with them. Deleting them in your gallery removes them. The app does not upload them and does not create any copy outside your device.

4. Microphone (optional, only for video)

The microphone permission is used only to record the sound of a video clip, and only while you are recording. It is optional: without it the app still works and records videos without sound. The sound is stored in the video file on your device and is not sent anywhere.

5. Importing photos from your gallery

To process an existing picture, the app opens the Android photo picker. It receives only the pictures you choose, processes them on your device and saves the result as a new file in Pictures/Flashwell. The original stays unchanged.

6. Sharing

A picture is passed on only if you pick a target yourself in the Android share menu. Free pictures carry a small Flashwell logo; with Pro it is removed.

7. Settings and Android backup

The app stores only your settings on the device (for example the selected camera, format, stamp options and your subscription status as reported by Google Play). If you use Android backup or device transfer, Android may include these settings in your own Google backup or copy them to your new phone. Your photos and videos are not part of the app's backup. The developer has no access to any of it.

8. Notifications

The only notification is a reminder before a free trial ends. It is scheduled locally on your device. The app asks for the notification permission only when you start a trial.

9. Purchases and rating

Buying, verifying and restoring a subscription (monthly or yearly, with a trial period on the yearly plan) runs through Google Play Billing. Google processes payment data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy: Google privacy policy. The developer receives no payment data. The app may ask you for a rating through the Google In-App Review API; the dialog is shown and processed by Google Play.

10. Advertising and analytics

The app contains no advertising, no advertising IDs, no analytics, tracking or crash-reporting SDKs and no account.

11. Deleting your data

All app settings are removed by clearing the app data in the Android settings or by uninstalling the app. Photos and videos you saved are files in your gallery; delete them there. Files you shared yourself remain where they are.

12. Children

The app does not knowingly collect data from children and is not directed at them.

13. Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

14. Changes

If the functions of the app change, this policy will be updated. The version published here applies.

Datenschutzerklärung für die App Flashwell

Stand: 18. Oktober 2026

1. Verantwortlicher

InfinityAkhi, Yusuf Fuat Sarac
Kontakt: info@saracai.de
Die vollständige Anbieterkennzeichnung findest du im Impressum.

2. Kamera

Supplement: anonymous usage statistics

Status: 26 October 2026. This section takes precedence over any statement above saying that the app uses no analytics.

App versions that contain this feature send a few anonymous usage events to our own server so that we can see whether the app and its Pro offer work: app start, the Pro page being shown, a purchase being started, the buy button being tapped or not being able to start, whether the plans could be loaded, the result code of a purchase, a completed purchase, and, if you answer it, your choice in an optional one-tap question after a cancelled purchase (fixed options, no free text). Each event contains only the app's package name, its version number, the event name, a short trigger or product name (e.g. "limit" or "pro_yearly") and a technical result code.

If Google Play is unavailable or reports an error, the event can include a short technical error text from Google Play.

No device ID, advertising ID, account, name, content, location or other personal data is sent. Our server does not store IP addresses; it only keeps daily totals per event, so no event can be traced back to a person or device. To set aside test devices, the IP address of an incoming event is only briefly compared in memory with Google's publicly published network ranges (such events are counted separately); it is not stored. The server is hosted by Railway Corporation (data centre region EU West); for the technical connection the hosting provider necessarily processes the IP address and may keep it briefly in access logs. Legal basis: legitimate interest in improving the app (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Daily totals are deleted after 24 months at the latest. No data is sold or shared with third parties.

Ergänzung: anonyme Nutzungsstatistik

Stand: 26.10.2026.
