Privacy policy for the app Cull

Last updated: 4 October 2026 · Deutsche Fassung weiter unten

In short

Cull works entirely on your device. Your photos and videos are never uploaded, there is no user account, no advertising and no analytics. The developer cannot see your gallery.

1. Who is responsible

InfinityAkhi, Yusuf Fuat Sarac
Contact: yusuf.fuat.sarac@gmail.com
Full provider details: Impressum.

2. What the app processes

To find exact copies, look-alike shots, screenshots and large videos, Cull reads the photos and videos in your gallery (file size, dimensions, date, folder name and the image content). From each photo it calculates a short fingerprint that describes brightness and colour distribution. These fingerprints are stored in the app's private storage on your device so that the next scan is faster. They are not transmitted anywhere, and other apps cannot read them.

The app also stores your settings locally: whether the introduction was completed, your answer to the question about what fills your phone, whether the weekly check is switched on, and how much you have cleared so far.

3. Deleting photos

Cull never deletes anything on its own. When you choose to clear photos or videos, Android shows a confirmation dialog. After you confirm, the files are moved to the Android bin, where they can be restored for 30 days. Files are only deleted permanently when you empty the bin in the app and confirm that as well, or when Android empties the bin after 30 days.

4. Permissions

5. Cull Pro (subscription through Google Play)

Clearing files requires Cull Pro, a subscription offered as a weekly or a yearly plan through Google Play. The price, the term and any free trial period are shown in full before you buy. The subscription renews automatically and can be cancelled at any time in the subscription settings of Google Play. Google handles the payment and processes the necessary data as an independent controller under Google's privacy policy. The developer receives no payment data, only the information whether a valid subscription exists, and that is evaluated on your device only.

6. Rating request

After your first clean-up the app may show Google Play's rating dialog. The dialog is provided by Google Play; the app does not learn whether or how you rated.

7. Advertising and analytics

The app contains no advertising, no advertising IDs, no analytics or tracking components and no crash reporting. App data is excluded from Android's cloud backup.

8. Deleting your data

If you uninstall the app, all locally stored settings and fingerprints are deleted with it. Your photos and videos are not affected. Because the developer holds no data about you, a deletion request to the developer is not necessary.

9. Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Since the developer does not process any personal data about you, control over your data lies entirely with you on your device.

10. Changes

If the functions of the app change, this policy will be updated. The version published here applies.

Datenschutzerklärung für die App Cull

Stand: 4. Oktober 2026

1. Verantwortlicher

InfinityAkhi, Yusuf Fuat Sarac
Kontakt: yusuf.fuat.sarac@gmail.com
Die vollständige Anbieterkennzeichnung findest du im Impressum.

2. Was die App verarbeitet
